VACATION BIBLE SCHOOLS!!!!
August 7, Maine Street Baptist Church is inviting all children, kindergarten through 6th grade, to attend our fun VBS program. We’ll do arts and crafts, play games,have snacks, learn some new music, and learn about Missions and what the Bible says about who God is. Our theme is Galactic Starveyors and we’ll be “searching the visible (the heavens) to discover the invisible (The God who created the heavens).” The program is from 9 am until 12 noon, August 7-10, and is free for all. Maine St. Baptist Church is located on upper Maine Street, across from Parkview Medical Center in Brunswick. August 14- Calvary Foursquare Church in Gardiner invites kids K-6th Grade to their Vacation Bible School beginning Monday August 14 through Thursday August 17. Each night will start with dinner at 5:30 and end at 8:00. Hero Central VBS has everything you need to help your kids discover their strength in God and realize that they are God’s heroes! The theme Bible verse is “Do good! Seek peace and go after it!” —Psalm 34:14. Our hope is that we will equip the Church to gain proficiency in using the living Word to help the hurting (and we all are the hurting at some time or another!), and let the Spirit be the Counselor, as Scripture says He is! The program is designed as a unique, three-weekend format allowing you to return home and practice what you learn, then come back with comments, questions, and experiences to talk about. GriefShare Support Group A grief support group that provides help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. VICTORY THROUGH THE STEPS is a new recovery program that will meet in the First Baptist Church gym each Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. These will be God centered meetings based on the book, The Twelve Steps for Christians a book based on biblical teachings, the ‘12-steps’ and Christ’s love to all hurting people through recovery.
